JC and me were always scared of this place in our Poly days as it used to be frequented by The Hells’ Angels. It has now reinvented itself as a Goth Themed pub and as such is dark, grotty, has strange writing everywhere with some obvious trinkets such as a Goth throne. The beer was “Trooper” and is very strong. The clientèle was either Goth orientated or was interested in watching the Goths. Both puzzled me to some extent.

Of course Stymaster was completely at home here so the discussion about the score went on a bit. You have to accept it as Wolverhampton’s “Trough” so make of that what you will. However, the range of beers marked it down for me. 3/5
